FAIR WILL BE ” BIGGERINI934 Chicago —(UPI An increase in ' concessionaries and concession expenditures which will triple the employment of A Century of Progress for 1934 as compared with the 1933 fair was predicted today by fair of- ■ ficials. The perdiction was based on eon- • tracts already signed and on nego- ! tiatione pending with concessionaries who had shows last summer and those seeking concessions for I next year. “We have figured it out." an offiI Hal saiii, "that three times as much | money will be spent by concession- ! ariee in improving and (beautifying ' their concessions, or in putting up new holdings at the 1934 fair as was the vase at last summer's fair. That means more jobs ami more money in circulation.” Seventeen contracts, most of them renewals, have been signed, and 57 are in process of negotiation. A total of $lh),0o0 in downpayments have been received from the 17 signers. This money will be held in estro until proper legislation has been passed by the state legislature and the Chicago South Park Board, enabling the fair to re- . reive it. Officials said that most new concessions will be in the field of entertainment. with more restaurants and eating places offering music and floor shows than prevailed last summer. o Phone Booth Is Casket Birmingham.
