REORGANIZATION MEETING I OF FARM BUREAU HELD The Social and Educational Department of the Adams County I Farm Bureau held a reorganization ’ meeting at. Monroe Friday evening I when plans were made and sched- ■ ules outlined for meetings for the I ( timing year. A program was presented after which Mrs. O’Beal, fourth district chairman, explained in detail’ the object for educational work and how to conduct tlie project. E. J. Fricke had charge of the reorganization work and the following officers were chosen: Mrs. Leland Ripley, chairman; Mrs. E. W. ; Biische. vice-chairman; Mrs. Louis j J. Houk, secretary, and Mrs. Stone- ! burner, treasurer. Louis J. Houk of the Fort Wayne I Association of Milk Producers dis- . < ussed the dairy problems. The I meeting closed with a short talk by Mr. Winteregg, county manager of the Farm Bureau. A lunch was : served. The annual Christmas party of I the Loyal Daughters claso of the Evangelical Sunday School will be held at the home of the teacher, Mrs. Frank Butler on Winchester street. Thursday night. A pot-luck supper will be served at six o’clock and a Christmas exchange will be held. The Mission Band of the Zion Reformed Church will hold a Christmas party in the church parlors Saturday afternoon from one to two 1 o’clock.

MR. AND MRS, J. P. HILYARD CELEBRATE GOLDEN WEDDING Mr. anil Mrs. J. P. Hilyard of Mor- j cer avenue, residents of Decatur | and lAdarns County for a number of I years, celebrated their fiftieth | wedding anniversary which was an event of December 13, at the home of their son and daughter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hilyard on Rugg street, Sunday. The Celebration was in the form of a dinner at six o'clock Sunday evening, followed with a short musical program. The five children, and their families were present at the dinner. Tlie children are Earl, Clarence and Lee Hilyard of Decatur; Mrs. Mabel Bollinger of Van Wert, Ohio, and Mrs. Velma Fortney, Decatur. There are six grandchildren and ■ one great grandchild. Mr. and Mrs. Hilyard have resided in Decatur for the last six years. Previous to that time they resided in Blue Creek township. The Girls Choir of the Zion Reformed Church will practice at the church Wednesday night at seven o'clock. The Frivolity Club will meet at' the home of Mrs. Ralph E. Roop Thursday night at seven-thirty: o’clock for a Christmas party. PAPER READ AT RESEARCH CLUB The members of the Research Club met Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Fred Fruchte. A splendid program was enjoyed. Mrs. O. P. Gibbs, leader for the afternoon, read her paper on the i “Spirit of Christmas.” She said in part: "Most of us welcome the revival of the Spirit of Christmas ! when the very atmosphere is pregn-I ant with mystery, anticipation, secrecy and excitement.” Christmas carols were sung and i at the close of the meeting delicious homemade candy was served The next meeting of the club will be held on January 8 with Mrs. Charles Prugh. Brine accompanied him to further familiarize himself with handling a plane in the darkness. Woman-Attacker Is Sought At Anderson Anderson, Ind.. Dec. 19 —<U.R)~ A woman-attacker was sought here today after police received reports that the daughter of a prominent Anderson family was dragged into delapidated automo- ■ bile by a man-, driven to the city limits and criminally assaulted. The young woman, whose name was withheld, said the man also ' choked her. Police believe the assailant is the same person who several days ago attacked a young married woman here.
