The Flounce-Frock —A New Silhouette Sharing honors with the ultrasmart sheath Is the flounce-frock, sponsored by Paris for evening, and preferred by many chic women because it is far easier to wear than the tubular silhouette. Here, the hips are molded, but fulness is released above the knee, creating a softer, more flattering line, attractive for less sophisticated types. This Easy-to-Make example combines lustrous black satin with a touch of shimmering metal cloth In the elbow-length sleeves. The neckline, which points off the shoulders, is very new’, and the low-posed flounce is graceful and charming. Black with Chinese red, gray with blue or black with white would be equally effective color combinations. You may wear it for formal restaurant dining, for dancing or Sunday Night parties. Size 16 requires 5% yards 39-inch material. % yard 36-inch contrasting to trim. Width about 4 yards. Pattern No. 5184 is designed for sizes 12, 14, 16. 18, 20 years. 30, 32. 34, 36, 38 bust.
