While international aviation interests are feverishly racing to be first to establish regular air service across the Atlantic, plans are being quietly formulated for a service across the Pacific U S Navy aeronautic experts have charted a number of routes between America and the Orient, whereby trans Pacific planes could make use of several natural, midocean stopping places, as shown in above map Already Pan-American Airways is casting an eye toward trans-Paeific possibilities, and it is believed that several new. giant flying boats, Sikorsky and Martin, capable of carrying 60 passengers, will be used in inaugurating an America-Orient service. The planes, built to specifications of Colonel Charles A. Lindbergh, Pan-American’s technical adviser, have a cruising range of 2,500 miles and four engines which give them a top speed of 200 miles an hour
