Eleven member* responded to the roll call and one guest, Miss Bertha Death, was present Mae Manlier, the secretary, read the minutes of the previous meeting. The rules for the clothlug exhibit to be held In connection with the Gold Medal Colt Show were read by the leader, Mrs. Nellie Jackson. The remainder of the afternoon was spent In a aocial manner. This wax the last meeting of the dub with the exception of a 4 H Club picnic to be held in Tope's grove Tuesday, August 15. INTERESTING PROGRAM GIVEN AT CIRCLE MEETING The Missionary Circle of the Evangelical Church met at the home of Miss Eata Fleming. Thursday night, tor thp regular business and program meeting. Miss Marcia Martin lias charge of the program for the evening. Mrs. I A,lf red Hannl whistled a selection and Miss Viviap Lynch was the devotional leader. Miss Madeline Spahr read an article about Red Bird Mission. Kentucky, and Miss oDrothy Spuller gave an interesting report of the Oakwood convention. Th program was followed with a busln ss meeting and Miss Martin was selected treasurer of the organization. During the social hour Miss Fleming assisted by her mother . served refreshments of home made I ice cream. Those present were the Mea- ■ dames Alfred Hannl, Clarence Smith and J. O. Tabor Church met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson Tuesday evening. The meeting was opened by the president. Miss Ora Gilpin qnd the song “Jesus Included Me" was sung by the members. The Scripture reading was given by Mrs. Johnson and prayer was offered by Mrs. Lucy Koos fallowed with the song, "Let the Lower Lights be Burning.” The roll call

IMI members are urged to be present.. ECONOMICS CLUB HAS ANNUAL PICNIC The Better Homes .Economics Club held the annual picnic recently at Lehmans’ Park in Berne. About seventy five persons were present. The supper was served at six-thirty o’clock after which several, aongs were sung. The program committee consisting of the Mesdames John Floyd, John Frist and James Anderson entertained the group with stunts, races and games. Two interesting readings were given by little Eleanor Beth Schwartz after which a miscellaneous shower was given for Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bluhnt. The Slusser-Gause reunion will be held Labor Day, September 4. in the J. E. Gause grove, five miles south and one mile east of Willshire, Ohio. Kruegel, 604 California street, Pullman, Washington, recalling the days of the "gay nineties” when she was a tetacher in the Decatur high school. Her name then was Miss Charlotte Malotte and many of our citizens will remember her as one of the popular young women here. She happened to notice an account of Miss Archbold's trip to Denver as a delegate to the Theta national convention and wrote to ascertain if she was a relative of Roy Archbold, who was one of her pupils, and to inquire of others of the old days. J. Ross McCullough of Fort Wayne was attending to business hern this morning. Rector B. Fuhrman and John Foblnson of Reno, Nevada, arrived In this city at noon today to visit with the Ira Fuhrman family. Roctor is a nephew of Mr. Fuhrman, and a son of Wilda Fuhrman who will be remembered as a former teacher here. The boys had spent ten days at the world's fair in Chicago before-corning here. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Kunkle and children Billy, Bobby and Virginia Lee have returned to their home after spending the past ten days attending the world's fair and visiting relatives at Grand Rapids. Johnson and daughter Ruth visited with friends in Bluffton Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. W. P. Lose, Miss Mary Ann Lose. Margaret Lose and Betty Myers visited in Fort Wayne Thursday.
