You'll probaldy find it was ; , failure to get a job. The fresh north winds finally got here and brought relief to mil- , lions over the middle west but t made the boys in Palm Beach shiv- A era little. L Os course, displaying a sign that it you are doing your part will j amount to nothing toward effecting , a recovery unless you really put ( action behind doing your part. 1 , Its a rising market and those who can buy now will have a pro-.s fit before they know it and that's 1 true of every thing from a can of t beans to a hundred acre farm. t You are not supposed to hang up't an NRA sign until you have done j something definite towards the spirit of the proposition. And ( once its up. you are expected to;, carry on. Il — Get ready to move with the NRA for those who don’t will be out ofj the real picture. This is a war top end the depression and that’s j | whats going to happen. Those who I enlist will of course be the sold-Ii iers. If things keep on as they are. | I the Republican chiefs will soon be , | charging President Rooseve t with grand larceny for stealing their I thunder and what they hoped would be their issues in the election next year. The library building commission insists on having the new state j library building used for no other ( purpose than a library, but the , commisijion probably has not heard i that during th'- depression lots of I g families had to double up and co-| ■ operate. Every wide-awake business man is planning to do his full part in the Recovery campaign and those who are arranging for that are in M tune with the administration. The '■ big thing about it all is that you H mean it, understand it and are wiling to help. The only way to really help in l the Recovery program is to work ' your employes less hours without ' H reducing wages and then emp'oy I I others to make up the difference. ■ Os course that frightens most folks I ■ but if every one doos it as well as f they can, the depression is over and that's worth a little scare. Another thing that seems to be worrying the Republican state committee Is that the Democratic administration seems to have sot up n system that Is getting the tax money due the state and the cost of collection Is less than it was when Republican administrations I failed to get what was due. I The way to get back, whatever [additional expense you add to Hie overhead of your business is to advertise. There is not a merchant in Decatur who could not well afford to give the people of this buying radius a messuage each day of the week. That will help every one. the merchant, the buyer and us. Senator Huey (Kingfish) laing of Louisiana is finding out as have others, that no one man can set himself up as bigger than the law. the government, the people them selves. He has some ability and may wiggle through his present predicament, but sooner or later, unless he realizes that the world was not made for him alone, the ■goblins" will get him. Many regrets because of the ' death of Judge E. Einley Johnson, former Van Wert. Ohio, citizen, well known here, who visited relatives and friends in this county on numerous occasions and who j became one of the recognized great i jurists of the world. His knowl- | edge of international law was undisputed and his opinions were always considered high authority. There is a spirit of cooperation * among the local merchants that | has . not been equaled since war I times. They are agreeing to work I together for the good of the com I munity, the patron and every one | else. Each business man has a ! duty—to best serve his customers | —and when that is the ideal of j every one. unfair practises disap- I pear. After all your competitor is j probably a fine fellow if you give {him a chance to be and it is enicouragtng to know that the spirit here is now one hundred per cent I friendly. That's only a part oi the •good that will come from the effort I being made nationally to have bus-, liness clarified and squared up. — o * —_ — — —— < I I Answers To Test Questions Below a.e the Answers to the Test Questions Printed an Page Two. 1. By HARRISON CARROLL. Copyright. 1133. King Features Syndicate. Inc HOLLYWOOD, . —With i the death of Sam Rork, Clara Bow lost a real friend and the only adi viser she has been willing to listen ' to. The re dhead has agreed ■ — to do one picI tore at Fox. . After that, will vak she listen to the sfc' _ offer of any o’her studio? X *• This question W tEC is to ing argued j in many qusrters in Holly’- HF wood. Rex Bell HL , f «*»• who. next to | | Clara, is best HBL «Bb qualified to an- ‘ i swer it, tells Clara me: g ow “Clara is ter* ! ribly upset. She doesn’t know whether she wants to go on at all. I believe we can persuade her into it. But there is no use of them trying to talk business to her until after ‘Hoopla’ is finished. Without Sam, the picture is going to be doubly hard. She must not be bothered with any othef problems." It was for Rork that the redhead finally consented to make a screen comeback last year. She was under personal contract to him for two more pictures at the time he succumbed to a heart attack. “And we would have gone on with him as long as we made pictures,” says Rex. “Clara trusted Sam." Now that Rork is dead, the former “It Girl" has the right to name someone to represent her in the filming of her picture at Fox. Her cowboy-star husband believes she will agree upon Al Rockett, who was a close friend of Rork. The picture, he says, will start on schedule. The routine between Ted Healy and his three famous “stooges” goes on, they say, even out of working hours. The trio never know what is going to happen to them next. There was that time, for instance, during the earthquake. i One of the stooges happened to be taking a late afternoon nap. As ' the house began to shake, he stirred, protested: II “Come on now, Ted, stop that.”

HOLLYWOOD PARADE. Wonder if all the romance gossip is responsible for Jean Harlow’s less frequent appearances with Hal Rosson?
