DECATUR ft. C.’S BEAT RANGERS The Decatur A. C.’s closed their season Thursday night with a 4235 victory over the Chesterton State Park Rangers in a well-play-ed game. The contest was played at the Catholic high school gym. Decatur took the lead at the start of the game and maintained a comfortable margin most of the ■way. although the Rangers threatened at all stages of the game, particularly’ in the last few minutes of play. Decatur led ar the first quarter. 10-4, at the half. 24-14. and at the third quarter. 34-24. Gass and Horton. A. C. forwards, v.ere outstanding for the locals. G ss connected six times from the field and three times from the foul lino for a total of 15 points. Horton also collected six field goals , hit failed to count a free throw. The rangy pivot man obtained six field goals and five foul tosses for a total of la points, nearly half his team's total.
