a ball game occasionally, but not in large doses as was the case last night. . —oOo—- ■ We are not blaming any par- ■ tieuiar player, nor any particular team Excessive bolding anil pushing his come to be the rule [ rather than the exception in independent basketball and this style of game will never draw satisfactory crowds. I —oOo— We have always felt that the major portion of the blame for 1 | increased roughness in inde--1 . pendent basketball can be trac’l ed to the influence of pro basketball as played in former seasens in Fort Wayne and other cities throughout the • country. —oOo—- ' The larger cities have enough ' fans to whom the ‘wrestling' style , of basketball appeals to draw large ’ crowds in good times but pro ball ' has slipped far back in the last ' three seasons, in fact so far it is ' [almost extinct. —oOo—t i We frankly believe that the blame • I for the roughness in last night’s . i bail game can be laid to the Fort i : Wayne outfit. The Chiefs started , the rough stuff and the Decatur . i boys retaliated. —oOo— However, we will always think that if the A.
