Frickie was hostess to •the members of the Better Homes Econ mics Club recently, Mrs. John Floyd, the president, led in prayer, after which the club song was sung and the creed was re- : peated. The lesson on "The Use of Colors lin Costuming” and suggestions for various types of blondes and br.innettes was given by Mrs. Martin .Btuckey. Two readings were also given by Mrs. Forrest Ray and Mrs. J D. iHendricks. During the social hour dainty refreshments were se ved by Mrs. Frickie assisted by Mrs. Virgil Wagner. . The regular picnic of the economics c’ub will be held it the Lehman Park at Berne. September 2. jut six-thirty o’c’ock. All members and their families are urged to attend. CRIST REUNION AT LAKE WEBSTER The annua’ reunion of the Crist family was held in Epworth Forest lake Webster, Sunday. A cafeteria dinner w s served at noon in the basement of the hotel. The noontide prayer was given by John Floyd and the president. J F. Crist of Monroe presided over the meeting. The song. "Best Be the Tide that Flows." was sung, fallowed with prayer by Frank Gross of Elkhart. The election of officers resulted in the re-election of J. F. Crist president; Mrs. John Floyd. Monroe, secretary and treasurer. Mr. Frank Crist was appointed program leader for next year, and Mrs. Jennie Watters and Mrs. Paul Shivers wiP have charge of the entertain n.ent from the Elkhart and Wabash districts respectively. Tlie entertainment for the men will be in charge of Dick Crist of i’ .rt Wayne; Wi liam Delhi of Elhhart: and John Floyd of Monroe. Flank Gross will hive charge of the table service; Mrs. W. O. Delhi of Elkhart will be in charge of the coflee, and Mrs. John Crist of the lemonade. The reunion next year will bi held at Wabash. The program lor Sunday included; a quartette, "Th, I Gates Swing Outward Never, by Mrs. Frank Crist, Mrs. Floyd and Mrs. Raymond Crist all of Monroe; and Mrs. W. O. Delhi of Elkhart. The reading. "Tommy's prayer," was given by Valletta Crist, and Mrs. Frank Crist gave an interesting talk on the "Origin of the Crist reunion." Rev. Word was received today from Ignacio Hernandez, a Mexican who formerly resided tn this city, tint the Hernandez family has arrived safely at their destination at Guadalajara, Jal.. Mexic . The Hernandez family left this city for Mexico a few weeks ago the trip being financed by a group of friends. Mr. and Mrs. William Affolder and family had as their guests over Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Affulder. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Sehaidt and son Frederick of Chatta-.iooga, Ohio. They were accompanied to their homes hy Miss Kathryn ,Affolder who will spend the week there.
