Manning of Fort Wayne, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Mack Manning and Stephany Dleigozina, of Adams county, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Rydelkiewicz. The single ring ceremony was used and Mr. and Mrs. Bakle were the witnesses. They will also reside on Gay street in Fort Wayne. Mr. Manning is employed as a machinist. Mrs. Bakle and Mrs. Manning are sisters. The Girls' Missionary Guild of the Zion Reformed church will meet at the home of Miss Mildred Worthman, Thursday evening at seven-thirty o'clock. ENTERTAINS AT DINNER Mrs. C.A. Dugan entertained with a six o’clock dinner Thursday evening so Mrs. Hany Ferntheil and children, Mary Ann, Albert, and Harry Sturgis, Mrs. C. D. Teeple, Mrs, Earl lAdams. and Mrs. Cal Kunkle, and Miss Sturgis of New Richmond. Mrs. Fe ntheil will leave Friday for Cincinnati, O. The United Btethren Ladies Aid Society will meet at the home of Mrs. Nel-on Abbott at Peterson, Thursday for an all day meeting. A pot-luck dinner will he served at the noon hour. The Ladies are to meet at the church at nine-thirty Thursday forenoon, anjl ways will be provided to motor to the Abbott home. FRIENDS ENJOY BIRTHDAY PARTY Miss Marjory Foughty entertained a number of her girl friends with a party at her home on Thirteenth street, Saturday afternoon in honor of her thirteenth birthday anniversary which occurred Sunday. Games and contests were enjoyed after which refreshments wer served on the lawn, picnic style. The honor guest received a number of •pretty birthday gifts. The Women’s Home Missionary Society of the Methodist Episcopal church will meet with Mrs. Dan Sprang, Thursday afternoon at twothiity o’clock. The assisting hostesses will be Mrs. Philip Carper. Mrs. R. D. Myers, Mrs. John Bowers and Mrs. Martin Gilson. Mrs. Frank Downs will be the lesson letder and her subject will be “Vacation Bible Schools.” All members are requested to attend. CHORUS CHOIR HOLDS MEETING The Adams County Mixed chorus met in the Court room. Monday evening for a practice session, witli Mrs. L. A. Holthouse, directoress. in charge. Several new members were added to the chorus. The next meeting will be held next Monday evening at the Charles Brock apartment, above the Brock store, at 8 o’clock. The meetings will be held each week in this apartment until a permanent location is selected. An invitation is again extended to anyone over 16 years of age who is interested in singing and chorus work. The chorus will sing next week and Mrs. Holthouse urges everyone who wishes to become a member of the chorus to meet next Monday evening. Mrs. Carrie T. Haubold has been named pianist and several assistants will be named soon. The Ever Ready class of the Me ttiodist Episcopal Bunday school will meet with Mrs. Ed. Ahr Thursday night at seven-thirty o’clock. The hostesses for the meeting will be Mrs. Ahr, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Forrest Elzey and Mrs. B. R. Farr A good attendance Is desired. Saturday, where Mrs. Bert Owens, is very ill. The judge was to return today while Mrs. Erwin will remain several days longer. Mr. and Mrs. George Schug and son of Dayton, Ohio, visited here over the Fourth. Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Anker and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Linn spent the week end at Hamilton Lake. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. DeVoss is home from the big'convention in Chicago. J. H. Heller came home from Chicago Sunday evening after a week at the democratic convention. 'He was one of the delegates from the fourth district. C, D. Macy and Bob Cole returned Saturday morning from an interesting five weeks auto trip though the Western and Southwestern states. They visited with relatives in Fall City, Nebr., Colorado Springs, Colo., and Sacramento and Pasadena, California. Rev. C. R. Ltnman left tnis morning for Indianapolis where he will attend the institute of the Disciples of Christ held at Butler University, Wednesday. Thursday Friday. This institute is for the ministers of Indiana. Mrs. Cora D. Miller and daughter Miss Evelyn, Jesse Bayman, Mrs. Frank Yaney and George Yaney spent the week-end and the Fourth of July visiting with relatives and friends in Chicago. W. S.
