MONROE LADIES AID ENTERTAINS AT PARTY The Ladies Aid Society of th" Monroe Methodist Episcopal i hnrch claim first place in Ada as county in taking action on the Hoover Hoarding* plan, as on Friday night at the Monroe high school auditorium they entertained at a party and opened th" hoarding apron, which has been hoarding money for some time. Sixteen dollars and thirty-five cents was turned out into circulation Mrs. Carrie Scherer received the apron for having placed the most money in a small patch on the apron, and Billy Hendricks was presented a hand full of candy sinkers for 1 eing the only man in the contest. Baby Joyce Amstutz received a basket of Easter eggs for being the youngest person taking part in the hoarding contest. Mrs. E. M Dunbar and Mrs. Rena Kessler planned a fine program for the occasion. A playlet “Bachelor’s Dream" was presented in which all the members of the Ladies Aid participated Dolores Longenberger and •Helen Mitchell sang “Meet Me in Dreamland." accompanied at the piano by Jeanette Rich. Helen Blum gave a reading, "What is Expo ed of a Preacher's Wife." Rev. Dunbar and Mrs. Elma Essex had charge of the devotfonais. Fifteen members of the society were present, and Mrs. Blanche Graham was taken into the organization as a nefc member. Refreshments were • served at the close of the party. The Ladi“s Aid wishes to thank all those who took part in the apron contest. The N. and T. Club will meet at the hpme o: Mrs. C. L. Weber at [her home on Adams street.
