Blue was described as the best color to induce a cool, calm, calculating state of mind, while red was advised for those in need of stimulation. A green background was said to be the best for prolonged tranquility. Black was banned as having a depressing effect upon the mind. The practicability of decorating offices in colors that would best suit the mentality of the business mqp concerned was discussed. It was suggested that asylums should have different colored rooms for different states of neurotic mind/ Prison life would be less dismal, it was said, if the walls and bars were painted green or blue. Dr. Jean Potheau. of Nice, told how many thermal resorts iu France are utilizing the action of vari colored rays. o Bottles Solved Pig’s Problem Gridley. Cal.—(U.R)-When a Duroc Jersey sow owned by Burch Scott, high school student, gave birth to 14 pigs, it was discovered that nature provided feeding acconimo dations for only 12. The youthful swine breeder solved the situation by providing bottles and nipples for those who had to sit at the “second table." Authorities here and in Phoenix announced that they were now looking for two people instead of ! one. "We want Ruth Judd anil a man." said County Attorney Lloyd’ Andrews of Phoenix. "First we must find the man. but we may find them together,” lie added. | Authorities agreed however, in ] charging that Mrs. Judd shot the girls to death in Phoenix, packed their bodies in the trunks and a suitcase and came with them here without the aid of an accomplice.' On the other hand, it has been fairly well established that a 1 man accompanied Mrs. Judd to the Union station tn Phoenix when she checked the trunks through to Isis Angeles and bought a
i round trip ticket. Local authorities still believe! i that Mrs. Judd must be in or! . near Ix>s Angeles.
