They will make their home in Roanoke. — JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP ECONOMICS CLUB MEETS The Jefferson Township Home 1 ■ Economics Club met Monday eve- < ning at the Jeff rson township I school building. Twenty-four memjbers and four guests were present. I The meeting was in the charge of Mrs. Gilbert Hirschy, club president. During the business meeting, the club members decided to change the regular meeting date from the third Monday evening, to the third Thursday evening of each month. Plans were made to entertain the 4-H Club girls at the September meeting. Alt this time they will exhibit the work they did during the summer. After the business meeting, Mrs. Clinton Hart, club leader, presented the lesson, “Food for the pre School Child." Mrs. R. D. Myers, county presid nt of the Federation of Clubs explained the object of the federation and gave a short talk on the pro- | gress and advantages of club work. The next meeting will be held Septimber 17. All the United Brethren children who will take part in the Children’s Honr, next Sunday evening, are asked to meet at the United Brethren Church, Friday night at seven o'-1 clock for prac ice. F.BNIT REUNION HELD RECENTLY The ninth annual Ebnit reunion was held Sunday. August 16. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Zurcher of near Craigville. Meckstroth and son. CATHOLIC LADIES HOLD ANNUAL PICNIC The annual picnic of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia was held in the Legion Memorial Park on South Winchester street, Wednesday evening. At six thirty o'clock, a delicious pot-luck luncheon was served on the long picnic tftbles. About fifty members of the organization enjoyed the annual affair. Following the picnic supper, games and contests were played, and prizes were won by the Misses Bertha Johns. Adelaide Deininger ; ind Margaret Schumacher, ami Mrs. 1 William Schumacher. TOLEDO GUECT HONORED WITH PARTY Honoring Miss Amelia Zeller of Toledo. Ohio who is the houseguest of Mis. Miss Mary Wertzberger received the prize. - Dancing was enjoyed following the games, and a dainty luncheon was served at the small tables. Miss Mary Ann Lose will be hostess to the club members next week. ENTERTAINS BRIDGE CLUB M.s, J. H. Bremerkanip entertained the members of her bridge club at her home on South Seventh street, Wednesday evening. After the bridge games prizes were awarded to Mis. Amelia Niblick. EIGHTH MCGILL REUNION HELD The eigh h annual reunion of the McGill family was held in Sunset | Park, near Decatur, Sunday August ' 16, with about one hundred members of the family in attendance. The oldest member present was James B. McGill, while Betty Joanne Miller was the youngest. Four deaths and three births were reported to have taken place during the year. | It was decided to hold the next in union in Van Wert, Ohio, the third Sunday in August.
