JENNIE RAINIER SURPRISED ON BIRTHDAY Mrs. Agnes Andrews entertained with a surprise party Wednesday evening honoring her mother Mrs. Jennie Rainier on her eighty-first birthday anniversary. Mrs. Rainier's children grand children, and great grandchildren were guests at the prettily appointed affair. The Rainier home on West Madison street was arranged with bouquets of spring flowers, and a social evening was enjoyed, with music and a program featuring the entertainment. At the close of the surprise affair, Mrs. Andrews served a dainty luncheon to the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Andrews and grandson Harold, and granddaughter, Doris Andrews, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hoffman and son Doyle. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Rich and daughter Jeanette of Moproe; Mrs. A. D. Crist and daughter of Winchester; Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Rosenwinkle, daughter Gladys, and granddaughter Lula Blanch, Miss Helen An-1 drews and Vain Thompson, and Mr. and Mrs. (’. L. He was being held in ce.'atr.t of $45,000 bond. O'Hara was charged with manufacture and transportation of liquor in three counts, and with conspirn< y with a liquor gang near Terre Haste, Joe and Jake Traum, reputed leaders of the gang, and 40 others, were convicted on similar ' conspiracy charges last summer. Embassy Paris, (UP)— True American eagles, not lions as ha« been rumored. will appear on the portals of the new American Embassy in the Place de la Concorde. Early pictures of the new structure showed two lions reclining on either side of the entrance, and alarmed patriotic residents.
