, Paris Styles By MARY KNIGHT. UP. Staff Correspondent Paris, May 8. — (U.R>—A popular recipe for a well-dressed lady as served in Paris would read sortiei thing like thia* [ Take one medium sized delicately shaped figure, about five feet six inches tall. Color the hair, eyes and complexion to taste. Start with a very smooth layer of chiffon underwear incrusted witli bits of lace, or sprinkled with tucks and embroidery. Be sure that these are no wrinkles in this first mixture and that each garment is of the consistency of tissue paper. Add a touch of coior throughout, if white is not to b-j desired, hut be sure that it is the palest of one of the pastels. For morning place a dark brown woolen material skirt over the chiffon, and top it with a small blouse of brown and green | striped flannel. To assure succe.ss ito cut out a generous little jacket with long sleeves, from the same material as the blouse and add just a dash of white pique, in the shape of an oval collar. Fold I around the waist a narrow belt I joined by two green and white semi-precious stones. Take two dark brown lizard shoes and place them -over beige stockings worn over well turned ankles. Set aside for a moment to crystallize and ' then try a pair of white glazed kid. i gloves rumpled over the wrists. ■ ! This will balance the white collar.; ;or if there is a preference for ! beige, change them to the tone of . the hose and top the entire concoction with a brief beret of solid ■green flannel. Avoid baking, but let stand or; 1 move slightly in a garden surround-. led with flowers In all the.latest: spring and summer tints. As a i final garniture, add a tiny bouton- ! niere of violets, or corn flowers, Ito give a note of contrast, and then serve to any public and it will bring an exclamation of sincere approval. — The Cixic Section of the Woman's , Club will meet in the Library Hall.
