NEW YORK. Dec. 29 (U.R)~ Among the already formulated fashions which promise to receive further stimulation from the forthcoming I'rench Colonial Exhibition, which is scheduled to begin in Paris next May, are Persian, Indo-Clinese or Pasley themes. Added to these are colorful Oriental designs from Morocco, Algiers and Tunis. The fashion history of the Persian idea begins back beyond the announcement of the exhibit, and it is closely related to the products
' i on which the attention of the world will be focussed. Print'd on si k crepe or executed in rich metal cloths, both imported, Persiau patt’ rned silks made a scattered appearance in American fall collections (arlier this year. Since th u the Persian theme has been reiterat'd in millinery and in dress trimmings. Some of the newest variations involve minute motifs developed in mixtures of light rather than heavy colors. These ar- being printed on crt pe. Also turning eastward —you will stumble upon the source of some fff the most noteworthy style ideas U sportswear. The het countries wo offering some gay them 1 s in both color and design. Indian prints are t stablishing high style favors in cottons. One of the most interesting phases of their endorsement is the alliance of dark and ' vivid colors that may b? contrasted sharply with white. Ancther is the use of bright Algerian color contrast*, of stripes sponsoring two or more vivid shades. — with afternoon party Miss Olive Walters of Third j street entertained several small , guests at a Christmas party Sun i day afternoon, honoring her housi ; guest.
