The two Kirkland basketball players who resigned from the Kangaroo squad after being suspended for infraction cf school rules, will return next week. • —oBBo— That's the real test after all — it doesn't make a lot of difference who wins—but this basketball de- ■ velopes something in a fellow that makes real men. —oBBo — Basketbawls felt all along that these two boys, who have pulled many a game out of the fire, for the Kangaroos, would unravel their differences and come back with more enthusiasm than they had before. Congratulations. —oBBo— Kirkland has a gcod net team 'this year and the utility men who , i played last night showed that they |had the stuff. —oBBo— The Decatur-North Side game was a .ough and tumble affair. The North Side team is clumsy and as a result th: long gawky mediocre players get in the way just enough to spoil plays, but they commit a lot of fouls. —cßßo— That was tough goin' at Delphos. A lead in the off nse in the last quarter gave St. Johns an opportunity to eke out a win by 3 points. —oBBo— Bruff C'eary was contracted for to officiate last night but because he later had a chance to officiate a college game and he appealed to Coach Curtis for a release. Bruff has done the same thing with several h gh schools and it’s not a very su.e thing to contract with him. —oBBo — afternoon two Decatur eighth grade net teams — Central land St. Joe will mix at Decatur | high school gymnasium. It's the first rs a three-game series forth? Georg? Wemhoff trophy. —oBBo— And should be some game. —oBBo— The Sub'urbers surprised the basketball world by beating South Side 18-14 'ast night, it really would be no surprise tho', because both teams are weaker than usual this season. —oB DeNext Tuesday night the Curtismen go to Portland —It ought to be an easy game for the Jackets —Portland has only won a gams or two this season and hasn’t much to boast of. —oßßc— Indiana.
