GIRLS ACCUSE MEN OF ATTACK Chicagoans Held After Girls Report Wild Party Thursday Night Chicago, Dec. 12. — (U.R)~— Three I Chicago young men, accused by three Whiting, Ind., girls of an attack and attempted attacks, were questioned at the east side police j station today regarding a night of i gayety in resorts on or near thei Indiana-Illinois state line. The state’s attorney’s office an-1 nouneed that the ease would be presented to federal authorities for invetigation under the Man act. The young men are Phillip Ross, 21, a third-rate pugilist; Gene De Fanto. 19. and L‘vie Taolicchi. 20. Their accusers. Barbara Margeske, 20: Helen Berman, 16; and Florence Dablke, 16. said they had appointments with the men last night. A Robey, Ind., dance hall, a Chicago beer parlor and Gainin't park, a resort cn the state line, were visited, the girls related. While the party was driving away from Calumet park, the girls said their escorts made advances. Miss Berman and Miss Dahlke jumped out of the autoi®>bile and lan down the highway. Miss Margeske attempted to follow them. Ross was alleged to i have dragged h°r back into the automobile. She accused him of attacking her. The other two girls walked and ran for five miles, then sought aid from a motorist. He took them to the .East Side police station.
