CELEBRATES WEDDING ANNIVERSTRY Mr. and Mrs. William Noll, living east of Decatur celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary at their home Sunday with a chicken and roast ham dinner. Many beautiful gifts were presented to Mr. and Mrs. Noll, and during the afternoon a picture of the celebrating group was taken at the Edwards studio. HONOR DAUGHTER WITH DINNER-BRIDGE Mr. and Mrs. John Schug entertained at their home on Third street Saturday evening with a dinner and bridge party of pretty apnointments honoring their laughter Miss Mary Katherine Schug a student of North Western University and her roommate Miss Evelyn Orr of Chillicothe Ohio. Covers were arranged for the guests a: a long table in the dininc room, and the table was centered with a beautiful bowl of snapdragons and greenery, a delicious din ner in two courses was served. Following the dinner, small tables were arranged about the entertaining rooms, and prizes in the games were awarded to Mtip. William Bell and Sherman Schull. Miss Orr was presented with a lovely guest prize. The guest list for the pretty affair included the Misses Ruth Engle. Helen Dorwin, Helen Haubold, Evelyn Orr, and Mary Katherine Schug; Messrs. MEETING OF SATURDAY NITE CLUB The members of the Saturday Night Bridge Club met at George Flanders home on Third street, Saturday afternoon, and Miss Ann Carlisle acted as hostess to the club members. Several games of bridge were played, and Mrs. J. L. Kocher was successful in winning the prize for high score. Mrs. C. A. Dugan received the guest prize. A two course luncheon was served by the hostess at the close of the club meeting. ENTERTAINS AT SUNDAY DINNER Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Walters entertained with a six-thirty o'clock dinner and party at their home on Madison street. Sunday evening. The long table in the dining room was attractively laid with Christmas favors, and place cards and tallys for the evening were cleverly carried out in the form of miniature Christmas tree. A two course dinner was served after which a social evening was enjoyed. Games and contests were held and Mrs. Rufus Inniger and Sylvan Habeuger received the high score prizes. Those present included Mr. and Mrs. Dan Habegger and children Martin, Milo, Sylvan, Dan, Martha, Helen, Viola, Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Inniger and daughter Armindal Mr. and Mrs. J. D. R. FIRE CO NSIJMES BARN ANO GRAIN I Large Barn on John Helm | Farm is Burned; Less Estimated at $3,000 Fire of unknown origin damaged a barn on the John 11. Helm farm, ( located 4 miles east of this city in St. Marys township, Friday night at 8 o'clock with a total loss of $3,000. The loss included the barn, its c< ntents, and a grainery. It was partly covered by insurance. Artie L. Jackson, tenant on the farm, went to the barn to feed two I cows Friday evening, and upon opening the door noticed the flames. An effort was made by Mr. Jackson and mere than 75 volunteer neighbors to save the barn, but the fire was well under way, and soon consumed the building. The two cows were rescued, however, as was the farmhouse and all outbuildings except a grainery. Heller and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Heller motored to Indianapolis this morning to attend the reception of Frank Mayr, newly elected secretary of state and Floyd Williamson, state auditor. Phil Macklin and Dick Boch were business visitors in Anderson today. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Moses and children and Mrs. W. S. Hughes of Fort Wayne visited here Sunday, accompanying Dr. Lawrence Hughes of Elgin, Illinois. They were guests of Dr. and Mrs. E. G. Coverdale. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Keller of Fort Wayne spent the week-end visiting in this city with Mrs. Keller's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Peterson.
