Election tomorrow. Important. : Vote early and see that your friends I and neighbors vote. And vote the j democratic ticket if you want to | be right and a winner. — There are some rather interest-1 ing contests in the various town- ' ships for trustee this year and the I results will be watched with almost as much interest as the county and i state returns. The candidates have presented their claims to you and its up to | you to render a verdict tomorrow. I Tiierr are many reasons why you j should elect democrats in this 1 toasty tomorrow and none against it that we have heard except that ' the outs would like to get in. Claude Ball has an excellent i chance to win in tomorrow's election if this county will give him the .vote we should. He will make " splendid congressman and will rerresent all the people all the tir.ie he is there. Give him the opportunity to prove that to you. Oklahoma City seems to have gotten herself into a mess by permitting the drilling of an oil well * n U' e heart of the city. It came in so strong that they can’t hold it and the oil is not only getting away but ruining thousands of dollars worth of property. .Maurice Early, political writer: for the Indianapolis Star says the j Indiana election is doubtful because ■ of tltc- business crimp. Well, if he feels that way about it you may feel that the democrats have considerably the best of the argument. II ct nditions were turned about, the Star would be claiming a republican victory by a hundred thousand. The democrats are hopeful in Ohio, Illinois and Indiana and 1 should elect offices in each of the , three. Governor Roosevelt will win ' in New York and r. ports from all over the country look very encouraging. Its in the air—a democratic victory—help make it complete by rolling up 2,000 in old Adams , county. ’ Even the most partisan republican newspapers admit the demo- \ cratic tendency of th-- voters this year and a landslide in tomorrow’s election seems probable. The past ■ twq, years in state and national af- > fairs have been just months of

dllly dallying and the people are tired of it. They want action that will take this country out of the depths and bring back some degree of prosperity. • Election returns jvlll bo received ;ias usual through this office tomorrow evening. Arrangements for - securing the precinct results as speedily as possible have already been made and we will be glad to | give them to you by telephone, : bulletin and announcement to the gathered crowd. The news will also be sent to democratic headquarters and other places as arranged for. The smoker at headquarters Saturday night was a successful and old fashioned event, with a half dozen speeches, introduction of candidates, cigars and apples and a good time. There was plenty of that enthusiasm which denotes a victory and though the campaign has been quieter than usual a large vote is expected, if that happens the result will be unquestionably , democratic. — — : During the past nine months imore than five thousand banks have | closed in this country, six million i men are out of employment and as I I many more on part time. There j jure some indications of improveI ment but it is certainly not due to i the tariff law or any legislation of ]t he recent congress. A vote of protest tomorrow may waken some of the politicians to the fact that the ! folks back home know a few things | and are not to be triffled with. The campaign is over except for | the whispering and those of good I judgment will not pay much atteu|t;on to that. As “fair play’’ stated 'in our Public Opinion column the lother evening, he is one nuisance you ought to brush out of the way. No candidate will say the things charged by the gossipers and you know it. The democratic candidates are all men of the real kind, who can be trusted and who will grove excellent officials. Give them ;• img iiliP'U't. There is no excuse we can think of for voting any thing but the democratic ticket this year. Certainly your faith in the old gag that the_ republicans can bring good times is somewhat shaken. You need some different leadership in congress, new faces in the state | house and a general return to | democratic principles. In this | county we present a ticket composed of splendid citizens, honest and capable and whose platform is honest service. Looks like your duty, tomorrow is easy. You will make a mistake if you permit the proposition for a constitutional convention to carry. You knew it will cost a lot of money to keep a hundred dtlegates and as j many more clerks and assistants working for six months at ten or fifteen dollars per day and you know if you stop to think that you will have to pay that bill. Aren’t your taxes high enough now that you would vote a million more on the backs of a people that can hardly meet expenses now? And when its all through you won’t have as got d a constitution as you have now, its marbles to doughnuts. Its just another scheme. o , • « BIG FEATURES ’ OF RADIO I ! i ♦ ♦ Monday's 5 Best Radio Features Copyright 1930 by UP. WABC (CBS network) 6:45 p.m. CST —Sinclair Program.
