KELLEY ‘FIRED’ AFTEREXPOSE Interior Secretary Dismisses Man Who Started Alleged Scandal Washington, Oct 29 —(U.R) —Secretary ot Interior Wilbur today dismissed Ralph S. Kelley, former chief of the western division of the general land office. The action followed the justice department's invest’gation of Kelley's charges that the interior department had been guilty of maladministration; of Colorado cul shale lands. Kelley's dismissal was as es September 29. the date on which he asked Wilbur to accept his resignation. Wilbur's letter to Kelley follows: “Referring to my letter of September 29 suspending you from duty, your conduct has been such: that your connection with the interior department may be transit!-] ered terminated as of September 29. 1930.” <y.
