Brentlinger of southeast of this city attended the second annual reunion of Troop C.. fourty Calvary of the Spanish Am erlcan War held at the Pieni" grounds. Dayton Soldier Home Sunday. At the noon hour a picnic dinner was enjoyed and the afternoon was spent in visiting the different places iround the Home Grounds. Many interesting incidents occurring in 1898 and 1902 were related and several letters from members who were unable to attend were read. Those who enjoyed the affair wore Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harcombe of Cincinnati, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Douglas of Indianapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Ora C. Cavins of Chillicothe. Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Halderman and son of Indiana polis; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cavins of Columbus, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs O. L. Brentlinger of this city, and the Misses Frances and Doris Jane Cavins of Chillicothe. Ohio. The reunion next year will be held at the same place. ART DEPARTMENT OPENS FALL SEASON The formal opening of the Art Department ot' the Womans Club for the fall social season, took place last evening, at the home ot Mrsj Paul Edwar<|s, 104 Adams street. The opening was in the form of a dinner, followed by a social evening. The new members of the department Miss Mildred Scott and Mrs. Herb Curtis, i were introduced to the membership, and acquainted with the

plans of the organization. Beautiful decorations of the I orange and black color note were used about the entertaining rooms, and throughout the appointments of the dinner. The tables were centered with blaik vases filled with pretty arrangements of orange flowers. The place cards, which marked the covers for each member, were clever artist's palette daaign, with tin orange brush. The small year books of tho department, made with rovers of black, and with lettering of orange, were also found at each cover. Large baskets of golden rod were arranged about the rooms of the Edward's home, and the fireplace In the living room was filled with the pretty fall flowers. Large baskets of the orange blossoms were also used In decorating the stairway of the home, and black bowls filled with orange flowers formed a pretty decoration throughout the rooms. At six o'clock, a chicken dinner in three delicious courses was served, and the- last course included orange and white ice cream, and white cake with orange Icing. The dinner was served by Miss Mary Suttles. Mrs. Gerald Smith and Mrs. Robert Mills. The committee in charge of the menu included Mrs. Homer Lower, Mrs. Leigh Bowen, Miss Velma Walters and Mrs. Nellie Haney. Between courses of the dinner, toasts were given, and the new members of the department were formally introduced to the members of the organization. Later, plans were discussed for the activities of the department during the coming year. At the conclusion of the games. Mrs. Ferd O'Brien and Mrs. Frank Schmitz were iwarded the prizes for high score among the Club members, and Mrs Lose presented the guest, Mrs.. Frank Willenbaugh of Coldwater. Ohio, with a lovely gift. Following the game, the small aides were laid with dainty linens ind a luncheon in one course was served by Miss Mary Ann Lose. RECORD BOOKS ABE DELIVEBEO Comparison Made With Six High and Low Profit Farms In Books O. G. Johanningsmeier, farm management specialist of Purdue University accompanied County Agent L. E. Archbold Monday and delivered the business summaries on the farm record books kept in the county for the year of 1929. These summaries contain an average of all accounts in the project, an average of the 6 farms most profitable and the 6 farms least profitable so that each man who kept records could make a comparison of his own record against these averages. The summary also contains a chart on which a farmer can lay a graph of his business and see the high and low points at a glance. The farm record project for next year 'starts either the first of January or the first of March according to the co-operators preference.
