BLOEM KER-LI N DEM AN FAMILIES ENJOY REUNION The seventh annual BloemkerLindeman reunion was held at the, Louis Worthman, Sr., home, located one mile east and one mile north of the Magley church. One hundred and twenty-five members of the families were present. A business session was held, in which the following officers were chosen for the coming year: President, Rudolph Kolter, of Magley; vice-president, Jewel Lindeman of Tocsin; secretary, Ed Jaberg of Magley, and treasurer, Fred E. Kolter of this city. Those from Decatur who enjoyed the reunion yesterday were Fred Kolter and daughters Marie, and Bernadine and son Harold, and Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Kolter, daughter Phyllis and son Carl. HONORS DAUGHTER WITH BIRTHDAY PARTY Mrs. Roy C. Steele, 109 North Eighth street, entertained with a lawn party Saturday afternoon honoring her daughter Helen on her eleventh birthday anniversary. A number of interesting out-of-door games were enjoyed during the afternoon, and dainty refreshments were served to the guests on the lawn. Those present at the party included Bernice and Ruth Beineke, Marjorie Miller, Kathleen Banning, Mary Steele, Ida Mae Steele, Charlotte Butler, Mary Jane Schafer, Ralph and Doyle Steele, and Eleanor Steele of this city, and Catherine Myers of Saginaw, Michigan, and the honored guest, Helen Steele. Helen was the recipient of many birthday remembrances. Ing ceremony which took place at four o'clock this afternoon in the Catholic Parsonage, Miss Helen E. Schmitz, daughter of Mr. and Mr.’, blank Schmitz, 213 First street and Luzern Uhrick. son of Mr, ahd Mrs Frank Uhrick. 821 North Second atreet, were united in marriage by the Rev. Father J. A. Selmetz. The "ingle ring ceremony was used. Miss Mary Margaret Voglewede and William Gass acted as attendants lor the bride and groom, and other witnesses to the ceremonv were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schmitz, Miss GePaldine Hower and Clarence 1 Beavers. > For the occasion, the bride wore a lovely gown of blue velvet, fashioned in a three piece effect with a blouse of egg shell satin. Sne wore a blue velvet hat and kid shoes to match the gown, and blonde gloves completed her costume. Miss Voglewede wore a brown velvet costume, fashioned similar to that of the bride, and she also wore a blouse of egg shell satin, a matching brown velvet hat and suede shoes. Brown kid gloves completed her costume. Following the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Uhrick, the Misses Geraldine Hower and Mary Margaret Voglewede, Messrs. Clarence Beavers and William Gass motored to Fort Wayne where they enjoyed a dinner party at the Mandarin Case. The bridal couple left Foit Wayne for a wedding trip of unknown destination, and after Monday, August 25 will, make their home at 115 E. Marshall street in their newly furnished residence. Mrs. Uhrick was graduated from the Decatur Catholic High School and is a member of the Delta Theta Tau sorority. Since her graduation from high school she has been engaged as sales lady at the E.F. Gass and Son Store in this city. Mr. Uhrick has been employed at-the Decatur Democrat Company since his graduation from Decatur High School with the class of 1925. He is president of Phi Delta Kappa fraternity in Decatur. The annual Wolfe-Patton reunion will be held Sunday, August 24, at the farm home of Henry Yake, two and one-fourth miles south of Preble. The Eighteenth annual reunion of the Fairchild family will be held at Haynes Park, Portland, Sunday, .August 31. The Eleventh annual reunion of the Teeple family will tie held Sunday, August 24, in the Wren Park. FRED SELLEMEYER HONORED ON BIRTHDAY Mrs. Fred Sellemeyer of this city was honored with a dinner party of pretty appointments at

the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Heuer, 915 West Monroe street, Sunday noon, the occasion being her seventy-fifth birthday anniver- : sary. It was decided to hold the next annual reunion at the James Blossom home at Ottowa, Ohio the third Sunday in August. Ice cream and cake were served at the Dr. J. C. HOUSE GUEST HONORED WITH PARTY Miss Margaret Gill of Indianapolis was honored with a bridge party of pretty appointments given by her friend Miss Marcella Mower 309 North Fourth street, with whom she visited over the week-end. I The Hower home was prettily decorated with a profusion of garden flowers, and two tables were arranged about the entertaining rooms for Bridge. Following the games, the tables were arranged for a luncheon which was served in two delicious courses. The ' small tables were centered with liufl vases bearing bright colored summer flowers. Miss Ema Lankenau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Lankenau of this city will leave September first for Fort Wayne where she will enter the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. C. R. Graham and children of Bourbon stopped for a short visit with her brother, Phil Macklin and family today after attending the annual Macklin reunion Sunday. Miss Margaret Vesey of Fort Wayne visited here before leaving Tuesday for Oklahoma City where she will engage in Y. W. C. A. work for the next several months. C. A. Dugan and L. C. Waring have each received a letter from their old friend W. A. Kuebler, Los Angeles, stating he would leave for home in ten days and is anticipating a pleasant visit here. Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Peterson returned today from a visit in Indianapolis where Mr. Peterson attended a meeting of the board of directors of the T. P. A. Miss Martha Macy who has been ill the past week was slightly improved today. Mrs. J. J. Helm, daughter Marjorie and son Fred, of Miami, Fla., who have visited relatives and friends here the past six weeks will leave here Wednesday or Thursday for Indianapolis where they will join friends and motor home. C. L. Ayres of Detroit, president of the American Life Insurance company, will arrive this afternoon for a several days visit. Several of the fans enjoyed golf Sunday right through the showers. W. P.
