Columbia City and Mishawaka by overwhelming scores—Next Friday night Auburn here. —oOo— Coach Curtis has started warming up two utility men, both of whom look good enough to make any team n northern Indiana Hebble and Zerkle are getting into a lot of games lately and both are accounting well for themselves. —oOo — That Yellow Jacket passing in the first half of the Mishawaka game was almost unimaginable— Then the second half was more or less ragged. —oOo — Among the names o' gntn°s this week i the Dp atur Catholic-Cen-t n! Catholic of Fort VVavne argument which vMI lie sett'ed on the local hardwood Wednesday night. —oOo— Th<* Commodores can w'n if !h *y play the basketball they heve dispJryed once or twice this season —ls they just go into ‘h- game with an indifferent attitude the score won't be so pleasant. —oOo — At any rate we're picking the Laurentmen to win by from five to 10 points. —oOo— Coach Laurent started his netters through a tough drill today and tomorrow. Wednesday night the Catholic high school gymnasium should he packed. Fort Wayne is sending a delegation of more than 100 fans to the game——oOo— The Commodore-C. C. tilt is always one of the year’s headliners. This year it should be of gr'at: interest—We’d guess that the Commodores will hit a stride In the Wednesday night game, which will pave the way for another state title. —oOo — There isn’t a Catholic team In ,the state that can beat the Laur- , entmen, once they get started and Wednesday will be a good time

Hartford vs. Union Center, at Hartford. —oOo— Unless something unforseen happens Hartford township high school basketball team will dedicate its new gymnasium next Friday night, with a game with Polingtown —oOo— The Hartford township gymnasium is said to be one of tli» finest township h'gh school gyms in inis part or the state. A largp attendance is expected at the dedication. —oOo — Tlie rest of the Hartford net schedule calls for all home game-. —oOo— COMMODORES BEAT CENTRAL CATHOLIC. —oOo— YELLOW JACKETS, BEAT AUBURN. —oOo — Purdue and Indiana oppned their conference net schedules with vicorles Saturday night. The Purdue victory over Michigan was not unexpected. Purdue has one of the best nFt teams in the conference ! while the Michigan quintet 's just average. That’s twice in athletics this present school year that Purdue has spoiled fond hopes of Michigan. Last fall the Boilermakers trounced the Michigan gridmen. —oOo— The Indiana win over Chicago was quite an upset. Indiana has lost all but one of its practice tilts — Evidently Coach Dean has kept some tricks up his sleeve, waiting for bigger game.
