Tabor M. E. Church of Bobo, met on Wednesday evening of this week at the Bobo school house fol the Christmas I party Fifty-seven persons enjoyed the event, and a bountiful cafeteria supper was served by the ladies. Following this the 1 idles held the annual exchange of Christmas gifts I ind devotional services and a musical program were enjoyed. SOCIETY TELEPHONE OPERATORS ENJOY SEASONAL AFFAIR Miss Dorothy Miller and Miss U.iura Stanley were hostesses last evening to the telephone operators 'of the local office, at the Miller i home on Marsha) street The affair I was in observance of the annual I Christmas party and exchange of I gifts. | The Miller home was prettily decorated In green and red streamers and two large lighted Christmas j trees gave a true holiday effect to the party. The guests found pop corn balls on one of the Christinas I trees, and upon these balls were ■ I found the names of the guests and i a number. These numbers corresponded with numbers on the ex- • I change gifts which were found by following the strings tied to four hearts being instructions. The strings were pleaced on the floor ind led to a large Santa Clause in the next room, which was made up of the Christmas exchange gifts. Many beautiful gifts were found in the packages. Snow drifts had been ’ arranged about the Santa Claus • and in these were found lovely ’ gifts from the operators to the chief > i operator and the assistant operator ’ I Under the Christmas tree a large I package was also found to contain i gifts for each of the operators from . the chief operator ‘ Following the exchange of gifts t many games were played, among ■ which was Bunco in which Miss I Ma.garet Heuer won the first prize i and Miss Wilhelmina Schnitz was presented with tne consolation • prize. A verse contest was also playI ed .ind the guests were to guess the I verges which had been placed on i the backs of each operator. Miss i Mjyme Cloud was successful in winning the prize in that contest. I A Dress Parade was enjoyed in 1 which Geraldine Smith won the prize. A Flower Contest resulted in Miss Ruth Engle winning and Geraldine Smith also won the prize in the Cupie contest. At the close of the social evening a luncheon was served in two courses. At the introduction of the masques, they were little more than a pageant or spectacle, but dramatic features . were added, music was given a greit part, and elaborate, fanclfu plots were worked out.
