The bride and gloom were attended by Mr. and Mrs. t I-eo Jones, sister and brother-in-law of the groom. The home was ati 1 tntctivdy decorated with a profusion ■ of lovely flowers. I'or the occasion the bride wore a dahlia shade gown fashioned along the princess lines with dark hose and black kid footwear. She carried a lovely bouquet of sunhurst roses. The groom was attired in the conventional blue. Following the ceremony a wedding litiiiet was served at the home of the bride. Covers were arranged for the i following wedding guests: Mr. and Mis. Gus Rhoda, Mr. and Mrs. Leo lones, all of Bedford: Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Littlejohn of Fort Wayne: Miss Helen Christen, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Erwin, and Mr. and Mrs. Dore B. Mrs. Rhoda is a graduate of Decatur high school with the class ot 1927, af.er which she attended Westj urn college at Oxford, Ohio, and Madame Blaker’s school in Indlanap--1 >1 s. She is a member of the local Tri Kappa sorority. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. (tats Rhoda of Bedford and was graduated from Wai‘on School of Commerce in Chicago. He is employed as an accountant at fokheim 01 Tank and Pump company, Fort Wayne. WOMEN'S SOCIETY 1 HODLS INTERESTING MEETING The Baptist Women’s Society met at ■ the home of Mrs. Gettis Parmer on Line Street, Thursday evening for the regular missionary and business meet-' ing of the month of December. The mee ing was opened with a duet "Beautiful Garden of Prayer" sung byMrs. C. E. Peterson and Miss Edwinna Shroll. Mrs. H. N. Shroll had charge of the missionary program and her subject for the evening was "Prayer Without Ceasing" She read several ■ Bible scriptures on prayer and gave an interesting and instructive talk on i her subject. Horton, after which a short playlet entitled "The Christmas Spirit” with Catherine Engeler, Margaret Campbell, Helena Rayl. Marjorie De Voss, and Martha Christen was given. A vocal solo "Oh Come Let Cs Adore Him'' was sung by Mrs. Leo Saylors, An unusually large offering was re necompan ed by Mrs. Fred Smith, ceived from those present. Follow ing the interesting program the hostess. Mrs. Kocher, assisted by Mrs. J. R. Horton and Mrs. James Elberson served refreshments of Christmas appointments. A social hour follow ed the luncheon. The 1 adies Aid Society of the Presbyterian church have planned the annual Christmas party to be given Thursday afternoon, December 19, at 2:30 o'clock in the church parlors. ENTERTAINS FRIENDS WITH BIRTHDAY PARTY Miss Patsy Berling celebrated her sixth birthday yesterday afternoon with a lovely party from four to sixthirty o’clock. The afternoon was spent in p aying games and contests with prizes being awarded to Bob and Dick Briede and Vincent Tanvas.
