SOCIETY ENTERTAINED FOR FRIENDS Mis. James Sprague entertained last evening at her country home with a six o'clock dinner of lovely appointments honoring Mrs. Carl E. Philips and daughter Geraldine of Saginaw. Michigan. Other guests present included Mr. Aloysious Schneider, Mrs. Catherine Schneider 'and grandson. Billy, Miss Wilhumina Schnltr. and Miss Fiances Schneider. The evening was spent in a social time, ENTERTAINS BRIDGE CLUB Mrs. L. A- Kleinhenz. entertained her Luncheon-Bridge Club, last evening, at the home of her mother. Mrs. Mary C. Ehinger on North Fifth street. At the conclusion of several games of Bridge. Miss Rose Tonnelier and Mrs. Charles Voglewede were awarded the prises for high scores. Refreshments were served following the Bridge party. An out-of-town guest, Mrs Celeste Nep tune of Toledo, Ohio, was present at the affair. There will be a social meeting of the Psi lota Xi sorority, at the home of Mrs. L. S- Armstrong, on Fourth street Tuesday evening at eight o’clock. Mrs. William Lenhart will bp assistant hos tess, ENTERTAINS BRIDGE CLUB Mrs. Will Bowers entertained her Biidte Club last evening at a six thirty o'clock dinner party. The hostess was assisted by Mrs. Virgil Krick and Miss Josephine Suttles in serving the dinner. Following the luncheon the tables were arranged for playing bridge with Mrs. Saurer receiving prize for hfrh score at the conclusion of the games. The guests other than the regular club members were Miss Emilie Christ and Mrs. I W. Macy.
The Tri Kappa Sorority will meet Tuesday evening at eight o'clock al the home of Mary Suttles. PROMINENT COUPLE MARRIED THURSDAY An impressive marriage ceremony was performed Thursday evening at six-thirty o'cflock, when Miss Sadie Mae Fisher, only daughter of Mrs. Martha Fisher, 811 West Monroe street, became the wife of Jerome .1. Omlor. son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Omlor, 615 Adams street. The marriage took place in the St. Mary's Rectory with the Rev. Father J. A. Seimetz officiating, and reading the marriage service. .The single ring ceremony was used. The young couple was attended by Miss Catherine M. Omlor. sister of the groom, ae bridesmaid while Robert E. Gass of Fort Wayne served as the groom's attendant. (
The bride was attractive in a gown of brown transparent velvet, fashioned with a long waist and pretty collar of ecru lace. The flounce of the skirt was shirred on the bottom, forming a pretty effect. She wore a brown felt hat, hose a/ul kid slippers. and a beautiful pearl necklace which wan presented to her by her mother. She carried an arm bouquet of Chrysanthemums. The bridesmaid wore a dress of dark blue crepe, formed with the new silhouette and shirred waist. The dress had a collar of cream crepe collar In the form of a cape, and the double flounce skirt was fashioned in the form of a cape, and the blue felt hat. kid slippers and matching accessories of blue. She carried an arm bouquet of Chrysanthemums, and wore about her neck a strand of blue hard shelled beads, a gift of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a dinner party was held at the Fisher home on Monroe street, where fifteen guests assembled. The home was decorated with bouquets of Chrysanthemums. The members of the immediate families were dinner guests and covers were laid, at the large dining table which was laid with a dftinty linen ♦cover of yellow and white and which was centered with a beautiful wedding cake. At each end of the table a pretty bouquet of Chrysanthemums was placed, and the color note of yellow and white was carried out. The out-of-town guests for the affair included Mr. and Mrs. Arley Fisher of Fort Wayne; tuid Miss Delores Omlor of Indianapolis. Catherine Omlor, and the honor guests, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Omlor. The newly married couple left later in the evening on a wedding trip to an unknown destination. Upon their return to this city, November 18, they will make their home with the bride’s mother on Monroe street. Mrs. Omlor was a student at the Decatur high school, and since her departure from school has been employed at the General Electric plant in this city. Mr. Omlor attended the St. Joseph's school in this city and is now employed as a machine operator at the General Electric plant. COURTHOUSE Dinlel Sprang was appointed Administrator in the estate of Lucy Sprang. Bond was filed in the sum of SIO,OOO. Damage Suit Filed A new suit entitled Lena Grier vs. Ed Carrier, suit for SIOO damages was filed in Adams circuit court. The suit is the result of an automobile accident which occurred on tne Wayne Trace last May. The complaint was filed and the summons issued, return able November 26.
