TOMBSTONE TO REVIVE RUGGEO FRONTIER DAYS Old Arizona Mining Camp Plans “Heldorado Celebration” Brussles, Oct. 24 —(UPI Powerful Reincarnated actors of Tombstone's first days will swagger ou the old board walks; arrogant two-gun officers again will officiate and their old haunt, the Crystal Palace, the Oriental and the Can Can will be resurrected at the Melldorado celebration which opens tomorrow tor a four-day rtiu. The celebration will be in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of Arizona’s greatest mining camp by Ed Schieffelin, discoverer of the Lucky Cuss and Tough Nut mines. The romance and the color of the old days will be brought back by bearded miners, dandified gamblers twogun fighters of the Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson and Doe Holliday type. Many of the old buildings which were the scene of Tombstone’s revelry are still standing and will be used in celebration. Crystal Palace Revived At the Crystal Palace Bar. which at one time was Arizona's greatest saloon and gambling hall, will be re-enacted the life of the typical western mining camp. Saloons, restaurants .bowling alleys. pool halls, hotels and stores, most of them vacant now, will be repaired and refurnished for the occasion. The famous Can Can restaurant will return to life. The old O. K. corral will again hold horses and hay as in the day when the Earps and the Clantons fought their death battle. The Birdcage opera house, which in early days was a combination saloon, dance hall and variety house, will be thrown open. This show house at one time was one of the best known amusement halls be-

BELGIUM FACES RENEWED FIGHT ON PROHIBITION Modified Dry Laws Left From War Days Draws Criticism Tombstone, Ariz Oct. 24 Il’P) — groups of Belgian citizens have launched a protest against the light wines and beer prohibiten law effective here since the German occupation The essence of the protest is that drinking of hard liquor goes on pretty much as before the war, that the liquor is purveyed clandestinely, that the quality is inferior and often poisonous and that hence both the government and consumer suffe-. The protest, issues principally from hotel and restaurant proprietors, butt includes a substantial liberal element as well. The supporters of the government maintain that since the mod'Hod prohibition law has been in effect 4 mukenness and crime have diminished, and rest their case there. TURKEY CROP IS INCREASED Washington. Oct. 24 (Special) This year's turkey crop will be about 9 per cent larger than production Inst year In leading producing states, according to estimates by the Bureau of Agricultural Economics, U. 3. Department of Agriculture. Practically all leading states have increased production this yetjr. but the larger increases are in the eastern and southeastern states where the crop has been small in recent years. Production has increased this year in the western states but increases are less marked than in 1928. The bureau points out, however, that in-,-reas-es in the western area go very hugely into the commercial turkey supply so that increases there are likely to have a relatively greater effect on the turkey market situation than are increases in other areas. Weather conditions were fairly favorable for turkey raising over most of the country this year, and the adoption of lietter methods of handling turkeys and the commercial hatching and sale of young poulets are in large part credited with t
