PLEDGES TO BUILDING FUND The Ladies Aid Society of the Unit ed Brethren Church met yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the home of Mrs. Jiimes Ci’on ’(.ok. During the business session which was a feature of the earlier part of the afternoon the society decided to pledge $750.00 to the building fund of the church Fi llowing other business a social hour was enjoyed with delicious refreshments of chicken sandwiches, peaches, cake, and coffee being served by the hostess. LOYAL DAUGHTERS HAVE HALLOWEEN PARTY The Loyal Daughters class of the Evangelical Sunday School enjoyed its annual Halloween party, last evening, at the home of Mrs. Claude Foreman, on the Bellmont Road. Fourteen members and six visitors attended the tit 'eting, and one new member, Mrs. Klusmann, was taken into the class membership. The Foreman home was attractively decorated with Halloween colors and effects. An enjoyable social line was enjoyed, during which games and contests were played. Arrangements wete made to pay the class pledge for. the new year. Refreshments were then served by the hostess. The next meeting will be held next month with Mrs. Eirl Fuhrman. Dugan Twenty-five ladies were present at the legitlar monthly meeting of the society. Dining the business session plans were discussed for the Rummage Sale which the society will sponsor November 14. 15, and 16. The place for the sale will be announced later.
