A Williams of Purdue in charge of cow testing associations thwugbout the state was present and , jVe the principal address of the ev ening Mr Williams complimented the Ulanis County Association for the progress they have made and he made the statement that the Adams County association was one of the three best associations in the state of Indiana He said tint this was largely due to the efforts of R. L. Price tester wh< has been with the local association for five years and will again continue ir that capacity for the coming year. Mr Williams discussed at length the ab ortion problem in Indiana. He took uy the new project which is being started October 1. by the Indiana Livestock Sanitary Board. Mr. Williams stated that this was the first county in which he has dis cussed the new agreement which dealt with abortion clean up. The agreement is something similar to the tuberculo sis eradication agreement which war started 10 or 15 years ago. He urged that Adams County dairymen coopera ted with the state veterinarian in start in the movement to clean up abortion among dairy cattle throughout the state. Mr. Williams made the remark tha' he was liking this project up with the Adams County Dairymen first hecaust they were the first in the state to put over such programs as better sirer campaigns, bull pens, definl e breed ing programs, and feeding schools ir such fine style that he was confidenthat the local dairymen would he th< first to accomplish a clean up in con tageous abortion. Local herds will be nm under state supervision and after they have passed the required number of negative tests the owner will b< given certificate stating that he ha: a clean heard. o Norman Everett is the name of the baby boy born to Dr rnd Mrs. W.
