Crawfordsville will open the season Sept. 20 with Monticello defending the opposite goal. Huntington will dedicate its new athletic field Sept. 14 with North Side fbrt Wayne, as opponents. The field, donated by John Kriegbaum, will seat 4.000 persons. Plans are under way whereby it will be made into a stadium next year. Southern Indiana teams will pry off the football lid a bit later. Shelbyville will meet Greenfield Sept. 14 in one of the early contests. Washington, Indianapolis, said to have unusual strength this year, will help Bloomington open the season at the university city Sept. 14. Eyes of the sport world in Indiana will be focasyj! on this contest because of the name ffloonf ington lineup. He is a son of Pat Page, coach of Indiana University’s big ten eleven. Muncie will meet Clinton at the latter city in a night game Sept. 20. of playing the gridiron sport in Indiana at night will depend largely upon the Muncie-Clinton contest. A week later Clinton will play its second game at night by meeting Shortridge of Indianapolis. The In dianapolis squad will be heavy with plenty of experience this season.

Mr. Tiuelzsch asking if he would officiate at the funeral. She died a member of the Lutheran church. Shortly after her death, Rev. TrueUsch was notified tiiat he was one of the beneficiaries in her will and two weeks ago he received S6OO in cash from her estate. This morning when interviewed he stated, “It’s a gift of God. 1 had no reason jo expect it and did no more than I should in giving spiritual solace to a hurgry soul’ With this gift, Rev. and Mrs. TrueiMch are planing to take their vacation. They left this afternoon for Petosky, Michigan, where next Sunday Rec. Truelivch will officiate at the fiftieth anniversary services of the Zion laitheran church there. Incideutly he will also celebrate his fortieth anniversary in the Lutheran ministry. They also plan to visit Cleveland and Detroit before returning home Tire congregation granted him a month's vacation, but Rev. Tiuelzsch stated before leaving that two weeks would lie sufficient, remarking, ”1 love niy work, my people and the community and will be glad to get back.’’ o
