RAIN FORCES MERCURY DOWN Cooler Weather Predicted for Decatur and Vicinity for Few Days The heat wave of the last few days was temporarily broken in Decatur and this community by a tain and thunder storm which visited this part of the county alxmt 11:30 o’clock last night. The rain, which was light, lasted about an hour, and a decided drop in temperature accompanied the storm. Lightning and thunder was noticeable for some time and the sky was heavily clouded. The rain, however, which followed was light and lasted only a short time. The mercury dropped several degrees. and weather forecasters predicted today that cool weather would remain for a few days. Farmers of this community stated today that the rain was not heavy enough to aid the crops materially but that in several paris of the county it softened the ground. Little wind accompanied the storm and no damage was reported in the county. « o Federal Grand Jury To Probe Liquor Ring South Bend.
