In Washington and Blue townships where increases will be necessary that fact is due to added improvements. There is probably no city in the country the size of Decatur with two talkie theaters, proving that we lead in every thing. There is certainly no reason tor leaving here for amusement and entertainment. The Cort theater here is adding a DeForest phonofilm, one of the latest talking machines. This s weed cutting season and every time you whack one of 'em off you are doing a real favor to a lot of folks as well as improving the general appearance ot your town or your county. Weeds higher than your head on a vacant lot, along the streets or alleys or along the highways are several kinds of a detriment. When the improvement at the Decatur power plant are completed it will bo one of the best in the country and that’s not all for its equipment is unexcelled, its management fine and the fact that a handsotne net profit is shown annually makes it a great asspt to the city. And there are indications Of-its farther growth before long. Through the Hoosier Auto Association and the county highway superintendents the rural roads have been well marked in most sections but the average tourist is completely lost when he teaches a good sized town or
