Berne Teacher Resigns Berne, Aug. 9. — (Special) — The resignation of .Miss Hazel Langdon, instructor of domestic science ami art in Herne high school, was announced by the local school board today. At tlie same time, the board announced that Miss Mirium Small, of S'dma, Ind., hud been employed to fill the vacancy. In Miss Langdon stated tiyit she desired to take a year's rest from teaching.

large six wheel automobile body trucks which piss through Driatut almost dally carrying automobile bodies between Auburn and Connersvllle, died Tuesday evening, at he Connersville hospital, of burns which lie receiver! Tlie accident occured while lie was filling tlie gas tank of. his truck from a can. softie of the gasoline being spilled on the battery, causing a short circuit. Tlie youth was almost burn cd to a crisp. He was rushed to the Connersville hospital, where Ills death followed tlie next evening. Mr. Dority was a great aViatlon enthusiast and was personaly acquainted with Col. Charles Lindbergh. He was an experienced pilot and had built several planes himself. He was a graduate of the Muncie and Newcastle flying schools. He is survived by a young wife and small daughter, residing in Portland. „ w o ■■■■'- the budget for the office of Prosecuting Attorney Joseph Murphy of Wabash county is presented it will include an item of $175 to pay a "dry snooper." At a session of the county council in July, the item was refused. Murphy says the money is needed to make "buys from liquot sellers.
