(CONTINUED FROM PAGE ONE) decides otherwise. Senator Black of Alabama also has pending a plan to have all nominations considered and voted upon in open session. The farm conferees are to hold their fifth meeting and although they are in a close deadlock, an agreement is expected to be reported before the middle of next week. The decision may lead to extended senate discussion because of the probability the senate debenture amendment will be eliminated from the bill. Therefore it seems probable Jom-s and Norris may have to delay the recess scheduled a week from today if they hope to get action on their rules revision. Other pressing matters may take up the interventing time. The house is grinding out compromise farm amendments to the tariff bill like wheat from a threshing machine. There are 91 amendments to be adopted and no others are to be considered. All will be cleared up in time for the final passage of the bill scheduled for Tuesday. —o notice or Public lEttim.
