Historical Society Ends Annual Meeting Today Vincennes, Ind., April 20 —(UP) — The annual convention 'of the Mississippi Walley historical society will be concluded here today. Dr. Homei C. Hockett, of the University of Ohio, was elected president of the organization tor the ensuing year, succeeding Dr. Charles Ramsdell, of Texas University. Other officers selected were Mrs Clarence Paine, Lincoln, Neb. Ham er. University of Tennessee; Prof. P. H. Nixon, Tulane University; and Lois Phelps, of the Wisconsin State histori cal society were elected to the executive board. Conference and addresses were to close the meeting today. The Delegates made a motor trip of the George Rogers Clark trial yesterday as a part of the day's activities.
