The movie, which will be given soon, will help to defray the expenses of a party to be given at the Country Club on Wednesday of commencement week. A short twenty-minute program will be given bet wee nshows. The glee clubs will give a concert during the national music music week in May. As usual they will unite to provide the music at the commencement. Tlie Rev. R. B. Hurt of the Christian church, spoke at the chapel program held Monday morning. St He of Indian** r< pcctively petition your Honorable Body and ask that you construct, complete ami improve with gravel or stone having a suitable binder for hard surface road, a free cement or brick road, improvement over and upon the public highway already laid out and established on and over the following route, towit; t Commencing at the corporation line of the city of Decatur, Adams County, Indiana, and at the southern end of Thirteenth Street ami at the northeast corner of section nine <9>, Township Twenty-Seven (27) north, range fourl< .!1 (in cast, in \\ ;-sliingt<m township,, Adams County, thence running south between section nine (9) on the west and section ten (10) on the east to the southeast corner of north half of said section nine CD and there to connect with State Road 27 and there to terminate. Your petitioners ask that said highway above described be properly drained and graded, that crushed stone ami sand be placed upon the grade so as to form a cushion and that upon the same there be placed gravel or stone having a suitable binder for hard surface road or other solid paving material ami to place on ’top thereof either cement or brick as in the judgment of the viewers is most advisable. Your petitioners further ask that said highway above described be drained and graded and tiiat the same be improved tu a width of forty (40) feel; that the same be graded to a width of thirty (30) feet and that such paving material be placed thereon to a width oi twenty (20) feet, and to such depth as may be determined by the proper officials having the same to d<», and that the* same be called the Eiting Road improvement. Tiiat to pay fyr said improvement, we ask that bonds be issued by the County of Adams, in the State of Indiana. in twenty semi-annual installments or series, and for the payment of which we ask that a tax be levied upon the taxable* property of said Washington Township in tlie sum sufficient to pav the interest and principal of said bonds as they become due. That said improvement be made and constructed and said bonds be Issued, and said tax levied upon the taxable propertv of said township in accordance with the Acts of the Legislature of the State of Indiana passed in the year 1905, beginning on page 550 and as amended in tlie Acts of 1907 and as amended in the Acts of 1909, now in force providing for the extension of free gravel and macadam roads and all and any amendments thereto.
