The Woman s Farm Journal This magazine was purchased the latter part of January by Adam* county men from Columbia City. Ind., interest, and all its assets taken over and moved to Berne. The work of publication was resumed at dhce and the magazine is now published monthly at the large and modern plant of the Economy Printing Concern. Berne. Ind. WHAT IT IS The Woman's Farm Journal is working in connection with the Home Economics Clubs of America. It is sponsoring the advancement of the noteworthy movement in all parts of the country, especially in the Middle West, in states such as Indiana, t Ohio. Illinois. lowa, Kansas, etc. Leaders and directors of this work in the various State universities regularly contribute articles to its columns. Thus it is credited by experienced, capable persons who have through years of association with rural people, come to know their need and aspirations. HOW IT GREW The need of a magazine of this kind was keenly felt a number of years ago. In 1926. Mr. Earl E. Gipe, of Columbia City, in conjunction with many county agricultural agents and chib work leaders, started to work on this magazine, its circulation grew rapidly, so that after a careful check-up. the records show' 105.000 paid-up readers, plus a few thousand whose subscription is expired. Renewals and new subscriptions are coming in every day. The new owners of Adams countv see no reason that would prevent this magazine from becoming one of the leading woman's magazines in the agricultural Middle West. I FOR FURTHER PARTICULARS MAIL THIS COUPON Mr. C. H. Musselman, Berne. Indiana. Dear Sir:— I am interested in the proposition set forth in your facts relative to the WOMAN’S FARM JOURNAL. The Appeal To Advertisers Strong The appeal of the Woman's Farm Journal to the national advertisers is very strong. This is evidenced by a multitude of inquiries on file at its offices. The April issue of the magazine is a wonderful demonstration of the possibilities for the Woman's Farm Journal. Only a very short time was alloted to the promoters to secure advertising. YET THE APRIL ISSUE CONTAINS $1.017.90 WORTH OF SPACE SOLD ON BONA-FIDE CONTRACTS. The advertisers realize tnat with most of the readers of the Woman's Farm Journal half the task advertising is to accomplish is already done. They DESIRE better plumbing, better lighting, more conveniences in their kitchens, the most healthful foods for their families. The desire is there, it remains to tell them where and how tovbuy. In their communities they are usually the younger, ambitious, energetic, alert, progressive individuals—the type of readers advertisers dream about. Headquarters Opened At Chicago On April 8, Mr. I. S. Dunham, of Chicago, an advertising expert of wide experience, went to work for the Woman’s Farm Journal. Advertising headquarters have now been opened at Chicago, right in the center of Big Business, where all our advertising will be handled. Besides our own advertising manager, we have secured the services of one of the leading Chicago advertising firms to represent the Woman’s Farm Journal with the national advertiser.
