Feb. 27—(UP) —A bill authorizing construction of a bridge across the Wabash rver at New Harmony. Ind., was sent to the president | by congress today for his signature. The act authorizes Roy Clippinger. Ulys Pyle, Edgar Leathers, Groves K. Flesc.her and Carmen Flescher to construct and operate the bridge. This group previously had lieen granted authority to build the structure across the Wabash at McGregor's Ferry, 111., but later asked the bill he amended so it could be built at New Harmony. When the measure previously was called up in the house, Repn. Hull, Repn., 111., objected to its passage because, he said, a group of business men in his district had made plans to build a bridge at New Harmony. The bill was called up yesterday while the house was considering the consent calendar, and passed without objection or a record vote.
