The guests were seated at small tables, each of which was centered by a miniature Christ■mas tree. A‘large and brilliantly dec'orated tree which stood upon a table, fairly groaned under it's weight of gay Christmas packages. Following the. dinner, numbers were drawn and the gifts removed from the Christmas tree and distributed. The regular lodge session then convened and "lans were made lor the sending ot ~ Christmas box to the I. O. () I'Home at Greensburg. Indiana. Mesdames Amos Yoder, Floyd Acker and Dorcas Drum were the committee responsible for the delightful evenings t ntertainment. WORLD WIDE GUILD ENJOYS CHRISTMAS PARTY Eighteen members of the World Wide Guild of the Baptist church met at the home i f I he.'sponsor. Mrs. ('. E. Bell, lasi evening. The Bell home was beautifully decorated in Christmas colors, candles ami small Christmas trees. The entrance to the home was also lighted with two large tapers. After a short business session, the social hour was spent in playing a number of games. The hostess served a very delicious and dainty lunch. LEAGUERS ENJOY BACKWARD PARTY The Evangelical League of Christain Endeavor enjoyed a most unusual meeting and party last evening at the Rev. M. W. Snnderman home on Winchester street. Seventeen members of the organization first met. at. the homo of Mrs. Merrill Schnitz, the president, for a short business session during which plans were made, for the Watch party, New Year's Eve, at. which time some neighboring league will be entertained. At the conclusion of the entertainment, refreshments were served in the following backward manner, In the order of nppearance: toothpicks, water, a dollclous luncheon, and napkins. Twenty tour members of the league enjoyed Hie backwards party at. the Sunderman home. CHRISTMAS PARTY AT SUTTLES HOME The home of Mrs. A. I). Suttles on S uth Fifth street, was the scene of i pretty Christmas party, last evening, when thirty-six members of the Civic Department of the Woman's Club held their annual dinner and Christmas gift exchange. The Suttles home was most festive for the occasion in its holiday dress of holly, Christmas candles, and a beautiful Christmas tree with its gl wing coloied lights. Santa Claus received the visitors at the door. Tile opening feature of the evening was a chicken dinner which was served at 6:30 o'clock in cafeteria style, the food being placed on a long dining room table wli'ih was centered by a largo ornament ride up of red, green and silver leaves, silver cones and mistletoe. After serving themselves, the guests were seated at snia’l tables, arranged in the rooms these being centered by red and green Christmas tapers. The dinner was served in two courses, the second course c nsisting of ice-cream molded as Christmas bells, and Angel Food cake. Following the dinner, the guests enjoyed a game labeled “progressive Cranberries". Mrs. Harve Shroll, Mrs. B. R. Farr, Mrs. Lawrence Baker anT Miss KatJiryn Mangold were required to play tie for high score with Mrs. Shi oil tiplng ultimately successful. Mrs. Ed Miller received Hie prize for low score of the evening. A line was then strung across the room, upin which were tied Christmas sacks containing candies, apples and nuts Each member was blindfolded and then given a pair of scissors and instructed to cut her candy sack off the line. Much laughter and entertainment was afforded before the last bag had been secured from the line.
