Sebastian Kresge Married Stroudsburg. Ba., Nov. 27. (U.R) Announcement of the marriage of Sebastian S. Kresge. live and ten cent store multi-millionaire to Mrs. Clara K. Swaine of New York City, was made today by J. M. Hill, legal officer here. Hill said the marriage tpok place at Kunkletown, neai here, on Oct. 29. Michigan City Borrows Funds To Pay Employes Michigan City, lud., Nov. 27. dJ.RI — Michigan City, operating under the city manager commission form of government, is without funds to pay its policemen, firemen aud other employes aud to meet other current expenditures. ( The city commission adopted an ordinance last night authorizing the borrowing of $50,906 aud the issuance of time warrants for that amount. In order to make the ordinance operative before Christmas, the three readings of the ordinance, required by law, were held at special meetings. Thirty days are necessary before the ordinance can go into effect. To Ask Revision Os Tariff At Special Session Washington. Nov. 27—(U.R> -Agitation for a special session of congress next .March to revise the tariff law was started today by Rep. John Q. Tilson, Con., Republican leader of the House. Tilson said in a statement he believed revision is necessary to protect agriculture, manufacturing, mining. and other industries. Chairman Hawley, of the house ways and means committee speaker Nicholas Longworth, Rep. Snell, N. Y. and others met to discuss whether tariff should be taken up at the regular ses-1 sion opening next Tuesday or be held over for a special session. Many house veterans oppose an extra session and hope tariff can be taken up after the Christmas Holidays and disposed of before March 4.. Others believe tariff hearings should be — NOTICE OF FIXXI.
