BUY CARLOAD I OF FINE CATTLE Five Monroe Township Men Purchase Dairy Cattle In lowa Probably one of the best earloads of dairy cattle ever introduced Into the county has just been purchased by five Monroe township farmers who have returned from a trip to lowa. These farmers, John K. Maielln, Peter D Schwartz, Calvin Steury, David F Mazelin and Daniel P. Steury all of Berne, purchased 10 head of fine Holstein Dairy cows from Hargrove and Arnold of Ames lowa. The film of Hargrove and Arnold is one of the leading firms producing high class Holstein Cattle in the United States. The shipment to this county consisted of 9 heifers and cows and one bull. All of the animals are of K. P. O. P. breeding (King Pletertje Ormsby Piebe 165947) This line of breeding is one of the meet desired lines in the United States because of their wonderful butter and milk production records. One of the animals purchased by the above named men is a full sister to the World's record 2 year old. Plans are now under way to form a Holstein Association in Adams County. No doubt this county will become ono of the leading Holstein counties in the country if an organization can be formed which will enable the farmers to place their surplus stock on the mar ket at a fair price. All of the above named men are members of the Adams County Cow Testing Association and accurate records will be kept on each individual so that her yearly production can be as certained. ;-*¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥S * NEWS FROM PREBLE * * B y * * Miss Lorine Kirchner * g¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥B Mrs. E.
