Broadcast over WFBM, Indianapolis. — Bloomington, Ind.. Nov. 16. — Two Big Ten foot hall teams. Indiana and Northwestern, topped off a week of heavy drill here this afternoon in prep aration for the game tomorrow in Memorial Stadium. Coaches Dick Hanley, Noithwestern. and Pat Pages. Indiana, sent their squads through a light signal drill and workout ,in Memorial Stadium. Both mentors were unable to give a definite starting lineup. Hanley probably will start Baker, a sophomore, and Verdell at ends. Sinkler and Hazen at tackles appear sure starters, with Anderson and Sullivan outstanding choices at guard. "Mickey" Erickson. Hanley's new center, is unquestioned for the pivot position. In the backfield the matter is a little more complicated. Hanley uses both "Yatz” Levison and Lee Hanley at quarterback, and Griffin, Calderwood, Bruder, and Haas at halfbacks. Capt. . Holmer. triple threat fullback and the punch of the Purple attack, is another sure starter. * Weaver and Catterton probably will I start at ends for Indiana, with Unger at one of the tackle berths. Jasper appears a favorite for the other side, although Moss may start. Shields, a regular, is handicapped with a knee injury. Swihart will start at one guard position, and Matthew at the other, if the latter is in condition. Briner may replace Matthew, and Hojnacki may start for Swihart. The sensational play of Brubaker, recruit quarterback, against Minnesota, has continued in daily workouts and he appears certain o the signal calling position. Bennett is in condition, and will start as one of the halfbacks. The other halfback berth is uncertain. Balay may be used here, with Hughes as fullback. Page might shift Balay back to fullback, where he played last fall, with Ross of Faunce working at the halfback berth. Northwestern’s 125 piece marching band, accompanied by 500 students and fans from the Evanston school, are expected to arrive in Bloomington early Saturday morning. A special

train will bring tlie crowd here. Saturday will be Dads’ Day nt Indiana. and several hundred fathers are expected to attend the contest. The game also has been designated as "Public School Day," and grade and high school students are to be admit ted on a special fate of 50 cents. They will occupy a special section on the north side of the stadium. The game will start at 2 o’clock, ami will mark the final appearance of the Scrappin’ Hoosiers in Memorial Stadium this season. Bennett, Briner, Matthew, Moss, Butts. Weaver, and , Baker will play their last games before a home crowd, while Randolph, slated sot all-conference honors, and Harroll, one of the leading punters In the Big Ten, will witness the game from the sidelines. This will be their last chance to play in Memorial Stadium. Realizing that there is still a chance to finish higher in the conference standing. Page’s players have worked diligently during the past week correcting faults which wete brought to light in the Minnesota game, and hope to give Northwestern a real battle. — o De Pauw Is Ready For Grid Clash With Muncie Greencastle, Ind., . ,ov 16 — With prospects of cne of the stiffest games on the home shedule, the DePauw Ti gets will clash, with Muncie Normal Saturday afternoon on Blackstock field. The annual Wabash tilt the following weekend adds a further importance to the Muncie game as Coach Hughes will guard against any injuries to his tegular squad by keeping his first string players on the bench the greater part of the fracas. It is probable that several new players which Hughes lias .developed for the Cavemen will be tried cut in the Normal tilt. DePanw’s two backfields, used interi changeably in scrimmage, proved equally effective in gaining ground against the yearlings in practice this week. Scott in one backfield and Blake and Van Riper in the other looked esi peciailv rood with their accurate passing. IB Lack cf reserve line material appears to be the weakest point in sizing up the Tigers. Substitute linesmen have received the bulk of Coach Oberst’s attention in the evening sessions and it is probable that a reserve line will see action Saturday. Although the starting line-up will not be announced until immediately 1 before the game the following players ■ will probably line up for the kick-off ; i Kappes and J linson ends; Firebaugh and Neirgarth, tackles; Bray and Beem guards; Howell, center; Van Riper, quarterback; Brandenburg and Crawley, halts; and Blake, fullback. New York. — Joe Glick, Brooklyn, will meet Baby Joe Gaus, Los Angeles negro, in a 10-round bout at Madison Square Garden tonight for the right to meet Sammy Mandell, lightweight , champion, in a title bout in February. Gans rules a 7 to 5 favorite in the betI ting.

KANGAROOS TO MEET COMETS Adams county net fans have a real treat in store for them Saturday night when the Kirkland high school Kangaroos clash with the Fort Wayne Comets, a quintet of colored basketball players, at the Kirkland gymnasium, at 8:15 o’clock. The visiting Comets are all high school students, who have formed an independent net team. All the players are colored, and those who have seen the visitors in action say they are real net arstlsts. Coach Bill Bryan has sent his Kang aroos through some hard practices this week in preparation for the Saturday game, and the Kirkland fans are hoping to start the season with a win. The preliminary game which will start at 7:15 o’clock will be staged between the Kirkland second and third teams. Coach Bryan and Principal Foley announced today that they would have their new schedule for the first semester ready for publication soon. The Kangaroos are playing some real basketball this season, and the Saturday night game will be one of the feature games. A DECIDEDLY DIFFERENT 5-JDENT CIGAR Don’t Believe It; Read This: Maybe a lot of 5c cigar brands have got your goat. Forget ’em! Here’s one that is different: Havana Ribbon. And how it does put the ordinary “nickeler” to shame! Thirty years on the market! Millions added t<> millions every year! Surely a cigar has got to have “the goods’’ to remain a winner so long! Listen. Havana Ribbon, for five cents, contains tobacco you usually find only in higher-priced cigars: Ripe, long-filler leaves of choice plants. No bitter Mader-ripe top leaves. No flat-tasting over-ripe bottom leaves. No crumbly “scraps” or short ends to come out in your mouth. But long, zestful, true-tast-ing, mellow-mild, /uZ/g-ripe middle leaves from tip to base. Pretty good, eh? Why. man, it’s perfect! At cigar counters everywhere. Also in Practical Pocket Packages of five cigars
