Cal E. Peterson has received word that the Shriners, from Fort WMynfe, are coming in force for the Fraternal Day celebration, the evening of Thursday Sept 13. There will be ninety members in the patrol and drum corps. They will take part in the big parade and will give drills on the Central school lawn immediately afterward. The chanters will give a concert from the band stand. Besides these, the Moose drill teams from Foss Wayne and Bluffton, and the Ladies' Yeomen Auxiliary, Will give fancy drills, the American Legion, with a 20-piece drum corps, will take part and the Lions and Rotary Clubs will each have floatsit will be one of the big events of the week.

Mr. Korteu- | ber escaped without serious Injury. o Geranium Plant In Decatur Grows To A Height Os Six Feet Having read a story recently in the ' Dally Democrat of a dahlia at Portland which grew to the heighth of nine feet and was considered quite a rare specimen, Mrs. Tom Andrews, of 128 South Ninth street, this city, comes forth 1 with the information that she has a geranium which towers to a heighth of slightly more than six feet. The geranium is like all other geraniums except for its heighth. It has been blooming all summer with a pretty pink flower. Mis. Andrews states that the plant was about three feet tall when she set it out and has offset the advice of her neighbors that it would never blootn. o L— ' t Residence Sold At Auction ’The E.
