There were 45 beginners in • the first grade which is an increase ' over last year. The other seven grades .. had an enrollment of 325. In the high’ ■ school, there were 90 students, which ’ number is also larger than that of a ■ year ago. • Classes were being organized today , and few cases were reported where • the pupil could not start school today. • It is expected that several more pupils • will enroll this week. The enrollment in the school is the • largest in the history of the local ■ > Catholic school. Last year, the enrolb • ment totaled 399. The first and second -grade classes have been moved into • the large rooms on the first floor and • the northwest and northeast corners Jof the building. Sister M. Cottrell has been probated in j court. Walter Garwood, Willshire route one. is a patient at the local hospital suffering from a fracture of the hip. which' he experienced Saturday evening when he was struck by an automobile, while crossing the street at Willshire. Baby Alice Joann Cowan, born last Thursday at the Adams County Memorial hospital, is getting along fine and fast winning the admiration of the hospital nurses.
