Mr. and Mrs. John Marshal) and family, of Jefferson township, wore visitors at the John Abnet home Sunday. Lores Marshall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall who was home on furlough from the U. S. Navy, left Sunday night for Brooklyn, N. Y. to continue his duties. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Foreman and daughter Edith, who have been visiting friends and relatives in Berne and Van Wert. Ohio, for the last.few weeks left Monday morning for their home in Lakeland, Florida. Mrs. Robert Huser. of Fort Wayne, spent the week-end with her mother. Mrs. R. J. Abnet, east of town, and her brother J W. Abnet, in Berne. She was accompanied to Fort Wttyne by Jack and Mary Ellen Parr. ’ Miss Judith Bixler, of Fort Wayne visited her brother. Mr. and Mrs. Adam Bliler here, Sunday. jp. Ramseyer, of the Missionary church association and wife, of Fort Wayne, were in Berne over Sunday to conduct the farewell services of Miss Fanny Schindler, who will sail for Africa this week.
