Mr. Smith reported the finding to local officers, who are making an investigation to learn whether or not a prisoner has escaped. The handcuffs were found near an old log cabin which is occupied by an old recluse. Pieces of the handcuffs and a cold chisel were founi near the handcuffs. The handcuffs were of an old model.
