Theplane was not seen although watches were kept through the entire southland. Yesterday afternoon John Henry Carr, a mechanic at Mt. Holly went to a berry patch near the city. There he found a crumpled plane and the body of a young aviator. He returned to the village and summoned detectives. They identified the flier through the telegram warning him that, weather conditions were not good. The plane had apparently been struck by lightning. Carianza’s coat and the wings of the plane were charred, though there was no indication of fire. The body was taken to Mt. The issues raised will be Republican prosperity, the tariff, the business economy and security of Republican administrations and the alleged insecurity to business of Democratic administrations. A second drive will be made to hold in line the normally Republican states of the midwest, particularly, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin. The corn belt will be included in this campaign, although Hoover leaders anticipated little danger of a Democratic victory in any of the agricultural states. In these states, the issues will be the same as in the east but. with greater stress thrown upon the anti-prohibition attitude of Governor Alfred E. Smith, the Democratic nominee.
