Watson Has 25,000 Lead Indianapolis, May 9- Returns from 2.720 out of the 3.610 precincts in the state gave for president; Republican James E. Watson, 155.837; Herbert Hoover, 130.605. Democrat, Evans Wcollen 89,919. For senator Robinson. Republican had 119,377 votes and Stump, Democrat, had 93,964 votes. Watson's Lead Grows Indianapolis —(INS)— United States Senator James E. Watson was steadily increasing his lead over Herbert Hoover for Indiana, 33 votes for President as returns from yesterday's primary continued to be compiled here this afternoon. Unofficial returns from 2.320 of the stales 3.610 precincts gave Watson 135,790 votes and Hoover 121.688. Athough the headquarters staff of Hoover still clung to the hope that returns not yet )■ would cut down the Senators lead supporters of the secretary of commerce already were pointing with pride to what they term Denver's wonderful showing against the entire field of Republican aspirants.
