Bingo was played for which ten prizes werA awarded, which were in turn presented to the honor guest. In a contest labeled "The Auto Catastrophe," Miss Catherine Dixon and Miss Esther Bowers received first ant consolation prizes which were also added to the coming bride’s collection. A most delicious luncheon was then served by the hostesses, after which the tables were taken down, and Miss Miller was requested to follow a white crepe paper walk, which led her from the living room to the dining room, where a large barrel, beautifully decorated in lavender and white crepe paper, represented the "Wishing Well.” Folio-wing the streamers which hung from the well, Miss Miller found herself the recipient of many lovely aluminum k'tchen utensils. PROGRAM FQR BBENEFIT MUSICALE The following entertaining program has been arranged for presentation, Friday evening, at the Methodist Episcopal church, in connection with a lisen shower for the Methodist hospital at Fort Wayne. The musicale is being given under the auspices of the Senior and High School Epworth Lergues of M. E. church and will start at. eight o'clock. The long banquet table was set in the EgyptK nrtlniog room of the hotel, and was replendent in beautiful floral decorations of roses and snapdragons. At 6:30 o'clock, a delicious fourreourso di niter of lovely appointments was served to the nineteen guests. After the dinner, the party adjourned to the bowling alley at the hotel, and a few games of bowling were enjoyed, and then n swimming party was fornuul, and for an hour soipo of Uie guests enjoyed the beautiful swimming pool at the hotel. ATTENDING TELEPHONE CONVENTION Misses Kathryn Nichols, Laura Stanley and Charles Heave, and Herman Ehinger, all employees of the local telephone company, together with Miss Mabel Brown, operator of Berne, motored to Fort Wayne this morning to attend the Telephone Convention which is in session there, today. o Personals Chris Egley of Fort Wayne was a visitor here today. Chauncey M. former Adams county resident, who is now connected with the State Board of Accounts with headquarters in Fort Wayne, is spending a collide of (lays in this city, on a miseion for the State. Mr. Lautzenlieiser is gathering statistics as to the volume of business in the various county offices, for use by the Legislative committee. Mrs. J. L. Kocher received a letter today, from her daughter. Miss Helen Kocher who. is a student at Butler College, Indianapolis, stating that \ie had been struck by an automobile while hurrying to catch a car. and slightly injured. Miss Gretchen Kocher, who is a student at Del’auw University, Greencastle, was visiting her sister in Indianapolis, over last weekend when she was taken 1H with mump, and has been confined to.a room in the city, since that time. Mr. i ind Mrs. Kocher will go to Indianapolis tomorrow morning, to visit with their daughters and ascertain the extent of Miss Helen Koeller's injuries.
